• The contest begins on 27th June at 10.30 am and ends on 28th June at 1 pm
• Last time of entry submission is on 28th June, 2 pm
• Results to be declared on 28th June at 5 pm. Winners to be notified via email as well.

Eligibility criteria:
1. The competition is open to everyone without any discrimination.
2. Only those images shall be considered that have been captured by the participant within the stipulated dates of the contest.
3. Participants may use any camera – SLR or point-and-shoot, or even their mobile phones, to click the pictures.
4. Please note that all participants need to submit their photo ID proof at the Concierge Desk before they start shooting, to collect their Visitor ID. The Visitor ID is mandatory to indicate that the participants have permission to shoot at VR Surat.

Submission of entries:
1. Photographs should be submitted online only in jpg format. They should be a minimum of 72 dpi and the longer side of the photographs should be a minimum of 1600 pixels.
2. Photographs of not more than 4 MB in size to be submitted.
3. Organisers may request for higher resolution images subsequently.
4. Each participant can submit their two best entries.
5. Digital manipulation that distorts the reality of the photos will not be allowed. Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contrast adjustment or simple cropping will be allowed.
6. The organisers reserve the right to reject entries with incomplete details or inappropriate content. The submission deadline is 2pm, 28th June, 2014.
7. All submitted materials are non-returnable. The file name for each photograph should be clearly labeled with participant’s name and title in format as follows:

8. Participants are entirely responsible for all entry-related costs.

Copyright/ intellectual property
1. Entries must be the original and unpublished work of the participant and copyright owner.
2. The organisers reserve the right to reproduce any entry in print, broadcast and/or electronic media without requiring the permission of the participant and without any fee payment. However, the photographer will be acknowledged.
3. Images received through the photography competition will not be used for commercial purposes.

Prizes
Winner to receive a cash prize worth Rs 5000/-
1st runner-up to receive a cash prize of Rs. 2500/-
2nd runner-up to receive a cash prize worth Rs. 1500/-

Judging and results
The images will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision will be final. No correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision will be entertained.
The panel of judges will evaluate the entries based on the following criteria:
1. Artistic/visual appeal of the photograph.
2. Extent to which the photograph captures the essence of the theme - VR – A place like no other.
